Tull, Walter: British Footballer

Walter Tull




An English professional footballer who played as an inside forward for Tottenham Hotspur (1909–1911) and Northampton Town (1911–1914). He was the second person of Afro-Caribbean/mixed heritage to play in the top division of the Football League.

He fought several battles in WWI and he was killed in action during the Spring Offensives* in France,  aged 29.
