Kinloch: African Association member

Mrs E V Kinloch was a black South African woman who came to England with her Scottish husband, a diamond-mining engineer. She became one of the early members of the African Association which was formed by members of the African diaspora in Britain, 1897. The aim was to promote a feeling of unity amongst Africans.

She returned to Africa in 1898.
